Fashion brand Citizens of Humanity launched a year-long, monthly film and t-shirt series to benefit charity titled “Just Like You” with legendary ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov as its first subject. The campaign profiles the creative journeys of nearly two dozen cultural leaders, all of whom are participating entirely on behalf of charities of their choice. Citizens of Humanity will be supporting projects of all the program’s subjects to celebrate their passion for creativity, and so the brand hosted a private showing of Baryshnikov’s photo exhibit “Dance This Way” in New York last Friday, Sept. 28 party.

This is really an amazing project – first off, I have always been a super-drooling-gaga fan of Baryshnikov. His adorable baby face that I so remember from my childhood has, of course, changed, but his movements, his dancing and his smiles are exactly the way I remember them.

These are going to be some movies that I am really looking forwards to see throughout the year – awesome project, CoH! And an awesome cause! It’s good to see a company give something back. 🙂
