Lisette and Jeff Rudes
J Brand – the loves behind the scene – who make the ball roll, for without them, J Brand would just no be J Brand.
J Brand invited me a short time ago to come to LA and visit their facilities. At first, my idea was to post about the process of producing denim and the washes and the sewing but I am just so bored with doing something that has been done over and over again.
I decided to show you some different kind of images from my visit to the J Brand facilities. I want you to meet some of the people of the J Brand family that I had the pleasure to meet or to see again. I have visited quite a lot of factories and producing plants over my years. This visit with J Brand was outstanding for its feeling of total unification and smiling faces. People seem to be happy to be there. These people seem to feel acknowledged and appreciated by their boss, Jeff Rudes.
What I have heard is that he is a very hard to please and very demanding boss, but that he also gives back. In the usual ways, of course, but also in personal interest that he shows in the people that work for him. (i.e.: In summertime the people that work at the factory work from 6am to 3pm to avoid the worst of the heat waves.)
I hope you enjoy these images and that they will put a smile on your face as well. 🙂
