I don’t know how I missed the brand Denim of Virtue as it is an absolutely new name for me; but not anymore because I am now a happy owner of two pairs of their jeans! This review is for one of them – the Skinny Ankle Skimmer in Barton 8002.

These truly are a great pair of skinnies that I enjoy wearing tremendously. The dark indigo wash is dressy and sophisticated and works great for so many places and occasions. I also appreciate all of the beautiful details such as the cute little charm on the front, embroidered V on the side and even a V-shaped center belt loop on the back. These nice touches really make Denim of Virtue jeans unique and special.

I really like the fit too. Slim from the very top to the very bottom (leg opening is only 9.75″!) these jeans fit like a glove. The medium rise (8″ on the front) is flattering to the tummy area and offers a comfortable and secure fit around the waist. The 29.5″ inseam maintains the clean look of the jeans and gives you tons of footwear options.

BTW, check out my butt – looks pretty good, right?! And the nice cut of the pant is not the only reason, the special X-fit Denim is also a huge factor. Its 4-way stretch allows the fabric to literally wrap your body and shape it up in the most flattering way. This 99% Cotton/1% Elastane blend has fantastic recovery and doesn’t bag out even after a whole day of wearing. The medium weight of the denim is very universal and keeps these skinnies suitable for all seasons.

The Ankle Skimmer in Barton 8002 seems to run true to size – my usual size couldn’t fit any better.

I am really impressed with Denim of Virtue in general and the Skinny Ankle Skimmer in Barton 8002 in particular. So cool and versatile (day-to-night look is easy with these jeans!) they are an absolute must have in any girl’s wardrobe!

I am the EU contributor and product reviewer for Denimology. From the time I was 5 years old browsing through my first fashion magazine I knew I wanted to be in this industry. While working as a Merchandiser at Gloria Jeans, the largest denim manufacturer and retailer in Russia, I discovered my passion for denim. It fascinated me then and years later it fascinates me even more. Every day I learn and discover something new and exciting about denim and am thrilled to do it hand in hand with all of you!

Well ordinarily I would never do such a thing but since you insisted, I went ahead and checked it out. And yes, it does look pretty damn good.
