The Dzojchen jeans are unlike anything you are used to; at least that is how I felt when I put them on for the first time. They are as unique and bold as the brand’s name. Everything, from the wash and fit to the buttons and zipper placement is unexpected. But with that said it all seems to make sense.
The Dzojchen skinnies are not your regular skinnies and have a much more complex construction. Though the idea is still the same – a slim from top to bottom silhouette – they are executed in a much trickier and therefore quite interesting way. Where else have you seen an asymmetrical zipper fly on jeans?! It is definitely one of the coolest details and instantly conveys a strong attitude of individualism. The front rise is quite low in a sexy and even somewhat risqué way while the back rise still provides plenty of coverage. The paneling on the inner thigh and big low pockets also add to the strong and edgy style and tie everything back to a pretty dramatic wash.
You definitely can’t call this jean basic. The fusion of authenticity and modernism is clearly showcased by the aggressively unique wash with intense whiskering, tacking, hand sanding and bleach. Presented on a beautiful blue cast denim they are still easily wearable and to some extent even versatile. You really won’t have any trouble coming up with a cool and cute outfit with these skinnies ☺
Unlike everything else about these jeans their denim is the very familiar 98% cotton/2% spandex blend. Its medium weight makes them suitable for the majority of the year. Due to the washing technique, the surface of the fabric has a slightly dry hand feel but the inside is pretty nice and soft.
Size wise these skinnies seem to run true. After trying three different sizes I ended up with my regular 24 which fits me quite well. The only thing I’d change is the waistband as it is still slightly big.
Dzojchen Diagonal Fly Zipper Skinny in Light Blue is a great pair of jeans with a lot of personality. Bold, edgy, with a very exclusive look they are perfect for those who aren’t afraid to experiment with style and turn casual into daring and courageous.
