Happy Friday babes! I’m here with a denim review that features a brand that’s quite new to me – Grace in LA. Grace in LA draws its inspiration from the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles, California. They’ve managed to balance chic, effortless style with that needed comfort all denim lovers crave. Their denim is known for its “glove-like fit” and each pair has just the right amount of stretch. Today I’m featuring a pair of white shorts (Style # JH-8460) from Grace’s Sunset Collection.
These shorts have a rolled cuff at the hemline, with minor distressing, and there’s a cute peek-a-boo sequin patch on the front and back of the shorts. The front rise is 7 ¾ “, the inseam is 3 ½”, and the leg opening is 23 ½”. These jeans should be hand washed in order to prevent the sequins from falling off. The denim itself is thick, which I prefer on shorts because I feel it allows for more coverage, and it tends to flatter all body types.
The overall fit of these shorts is great. They definitely have just the right amount of stretch to them, and they hugged my curves just right. As I get older, I do find myself reaching for shorts that are a tad longer in the inseam, so these were a bit short for me, but not too short. Also, I must add that I usually stay away from bedazzled denim, as it’s not quite my taste. However, the sequins on these shorts were minimal and they were placed very well. It added character to the shorts without being overpowering.
I am a big fan of white denim in general, and these white shorts are perfect for those hot summer months. I can especially see these being styled for the 4th of July — with a red, white, and blue top! 🙂 Can’t you?
I received a few more pairs of denim fromGrace in LA, so I’ll be featuring those reviews on Denimology soon! So far I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by the brand. I was a bit intimidated when I looked at the denim online. I wasn’t sure if the fit would be too tight on me, but they weren’t at all.
Stay tuned for some more denim reviews by Grace in LA, as well as other denim brands! And, if you’d like to keep up to date with me and my daily outfits and fashion musings, be sure to follow my personal blog: Belle de Couture! 🙂
