NSF has been one brand that has always had a special place in my (denim) heart. It is because this is one brand that gives me exactly what I absolutely crave – rigid 100% cotton jeans, ripped and painted and destructed for us women (most of the brands that work with 100% cotton only do men’s). And I know that it’s not only yours truly that feels this way – I have been following NSF ever since they started and I am a witness to how popular they have become. So much so that they are now a staple in high-end stores, like Barneys, among others. This makes me very happy because I am trying to make you chicks realize that it’s not all about skinny and stretchy jeans, but there is a “real” denim world out there. And NSF is providing us with absolutely “REAL” denim, as I said before, no stretch and a lot of selvedge. Their staple styles are a loose and straight fit, like a boyjean or a straight jean.
In this new collection, I want to especially point out the black destructed jeans of which I kind of feel as if I had taken part in the creation. I was chatting with Jamie Haller, the designer, and we both felt the need of having some black and destructed jeans, not grey, but real black that has been treated with chemicals and paint and whatever other technique there may be LOL!
Thank you NSF for giving us a good, rigid and beautiful collection for these coming holidays!
