Founded in February of 2011 by Scott Morrison, 3×1 is truly the world’s first denim atelier. The name “3×1” is derived from denim’s standard weaving construction, the “3×1 Right Hand Twill” and also references, Morrison’s third venture, following Paper Denim & Cloth and Earnest Sewn.
So, the good news is that now you will be able to purchase their jeans directly from their website instead of having to go to their store in Soho, NYC. Not that this isn’t a huge adventure in and of itself (I love that store!), but for those of you who don’t live here, this is the perfect way out!
As a label, 3×1 is defined by its transparency, quality, and uniqueness with the one and only location at 15 Mercer Street in NYC. The fabric selection offered to the 3×1 customer consists of more than 115 unique selvedge denims from around the world, and more than 60 varieties of non-selvedge denims, stretch denims and twills. Bespoke, Custom, and Ready-to-Wear options are available in a variety of fits.
While the Bespoke and Custom services are only currently available at the 15 Mercer street store location, the Ready-to-Wear collection is available at the brand’s flagship store as well as more than 50 retail partners, including: Barney’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Ron Herman LA.
