The first time I saw this new brand D-ID, was a couple of months ago at Intermezzo and I became instantly obsessed! Rad denim, insane, really, all this detail stitching on the jeans and jackets! Well THIS is a brand for you if you are looking for sexy and DIFFERENT!! No one less than denim veteran Jimmy Taverniti is the creator and designer of this brand.

“While the fits are basic, the details are anything but. Taking a cue from European street wear, D‐ID emerges as a revival of 90’s grunge and offers a fresh take on the era’s detached idea of cool. High‐quality Japanese and Italian fabrics are carefully distressed for an effortlessly worn‐in look. Classic denim morphs into elevated grit with hi‐shine, transparent and waxed coatings applied over subtle prints and double‐dyed styles.

A diamond‐stitched or “diamant” technique, surely the collection’s standout element, spins a tale of cyber‐grit it girls and millennial magpies. Tonal quilting lends tactful texture to blue, cream and over‐dyed black denim, while contrast stitching on lighter washes makes a statement all its own.

The collection focuses on five skinny styles for women, plus a boyfriend jean, which are offered in 32″ regular, 29″ ankle, and 27″ cropped inseams and a size range of 24‐32. Rounding out the selection are traditional jean and biker‐style jackets which feature the same “diamant” quilting and flocking techniques as seen in the jeans, creating a total denim look when paired together.”

The Fall / Winter 2013 collection will be sold at Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus, in addition to select specialty boutiques. Prices range from $138 for a basic jean to $228
