Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Caroline here, your San Francisco guide to everything indigo. Usually I’m contributing to Denimology for product reviews and sneak peaks at my favorite pieces from the market, but today I’m sharing my snaps from Thursday’s 7 For All Mankind x Malhia Kent launch party in SF.

For fall, 7FAM linked up with storied Parisian textile mill Malhia Kent for a special collaboration of three jeans and one oh-so-fabulous jacket. In order to properly celebrate such a chic collection, 7FAM teamed up with some of our favorite bloggers and hosted launch parties all over the country. The last stop on the trip was my (new) home of San Francisco. And lucky for me (and all of the other fashionable San Franciscans), Blair Eadie from Atlantic Pacific was on hand to help celebrate. Blair is one of my absolute favorite bloggers, from her refined casual get-ups to super feminine silhouettes. And she’s often rocking chic denim, with special details like frayed cuffs, distressing, and metallic treatments. If you haven’t followed Blair yet, be warned! Her blog is quite addicting…

In proper denim with a Parisian twist form, we toasted the collection over champagne and macarons. Blair took time to chat with all of the guests, and looked fabulous in her 7FAM x Malhia Kent Moto Jacket (my favorite piece from the collaboration). I couldn’t resist trying on the jacket as well and my is it a beauty! The jacket itself is made of coated denim, but has an almost silky feel that makes the fabric soft, unlike other brands’ coated denim that can feel too thick or heavy. The jacket has a front asymmetrical zipper that gives a true moto look, even paired against the elegant woven jacquard fabric from Malhia Kent. Again with the moto trend! We just can’t get enough of this look! The piece is expensive, coming in at $650, but if you’re up for the splurge, it’s definitely a statement piece that pops.

Caroline Rooney is a San Francisco based stylist and model. Following internships with American Eagle Outfitters, Diane von Furstenberg, Parfums de Christian Dior, and Condé Nast, Caroline launched socially conscious clothing line The Bearon, in 2008. The Bearon was named one of INC. Magazine's "Coolest College Start Ups" in 2009. In 2011, Caroline joined the buying team at Bloomingdales.com, buying both men's & women's denim. She fell hard for menswear, and grew particularly passionate about the denim industry. Throughout, Caroline has been signed as a print and runway model and has appeared in campaigns for Dodge, Ford, Ella Sven, & Bloomingdales, and worked with Neiman Marcus, Chanel, Donna Karan, and Miley Cyrus. After spending years on sets she developed an eye for styling and in the fall of 2013, moved to San Francisco to launch her career as a menswear stylist. Currently, Caroline is launching the menswear blog Bearon & Brothers, and works as a stylist for menswear e-commerce brand Bonobos. She is also an instructor of fashion styling at the Academy of Art University, and contributor to the denim blog "Denimology".
