Introducing: RtA RtA-FW-13-02.jpg

The other day I was looking for what’s new at Bergdorf, and RtA was one of their newest brands, they told me. So I decided to check them out:

For Eli Azran and David Rimokh, founders and designers, RtA (= the Road to Awe) is paved with denim and leather, and so is their new denim line. They created a line of quality, no-frills denim basics. Their denim styles are the basic skinnies and boyfriends (I haven’t seen the boyfriends yet), but I did see some very different and outstanding red jeans that seem to have a kind of resin wash (not shown here).

Now, being that I was right there at Bergdorf, I decided to try on two of their skinnies. I did not fall in love with the fit or the feel of either pair, as one was way too weird in the fit, too skinny at the legs – I had problems in pulling the jeans up, and once I had them on, they were bunching up at the hips. The other pair, a bleached light blue wash, was totally stretchy and showed every single cellulite that I have and do not have, you get the idea. But I want to point out that this is my very personal view and that I am totally aware that there will be a lot of you chicks out there who will just love these fits.

But I definitely will not give up on Rta, after all, this is only their first collection, right? I am curious about how they will develop in the future and hopefully soon I will be able to check out their boyfriend jeans and maybe these will be a fit that I am going to love
🙂

The price range is between $165 to $245 for the basic jeans and for now they are available at the Bergdorf Goodman store in NYC.

  1. I just read your review, and I TOTALLY had a different experience with RTA. I bought 2 different pairs at 2 different stores. I bought one skinny at Bergdorf Goodman, that I wear practically every day, and the more I wear them, the better they feel, and I bought a boyfriend jean in a faded black at Curve, that are so comfortable and sexy, that even my boyfriend loves!

Perhaps, they’re just not made for your body type or perhaps you just tried on the styles that weren’t right for you?!!? I own several pairs of Current/Elliot jeans that fit great, and I’ve tried several styles of theirs that didn’t look right on my butt or legs, so I just tried on several styles by them until I found ones that worked. SO, DON’T GIVE UP ON THEM!

    • I agree with you Julianna! I saw a girl at my hair salon wearing a killer pair of jeans and asked her where they were from and she said she bought them at bergdorf’s after seeing a write up on them. I just received my pair this morning and I am obsessed with them, which is how I stumbled on this review when I decided to google rta to find out where I can buy more closer to where I live.

Maybe you did try on styles that weren’t right for you?

I encourage you and others to try them on. I wish I could attach a picture of me in my jeans to show you! LOL
