Brazilian Brands to Watch: Colcci, Oh Boy!, FORUM, Espaço Fashion colcci SS14 1 in New York.jpg

Yours truly is in Brazil, or better, even, in Rio de Janeiro, enjoying some summer beach and caipirinha and, of course, checking out what’s up with the Brazilian denim scene. Brazilian made denim has always been on my high top list in terms of quality and style. I think, for example, that Brazilian brand Forum was one of the first brands worldwide to come up with men’s stretch jeans some 15 years ago already. This is a brand from São Paulo and has been around for maybe 30 years, headed by Tufi Duek – who also carries a very high end fashion line besides the denim.

Colcci is a brand situated in Porto Alegre, in the South of Brazil, and their former spokeswoman used to be Gisele Bündchen who made the brand famous.

Oh Boy! and Espaço Fashion are aimed at the young Brazlian preppy crowd and their trademark jeans are fashionable and fun jeans.

I will be checking out more brands while I am here, so stay tuned!
