You can really feel that the Holidays are upon us when denim brands start putting shiny and sparkly jeans on store shelves. Each year 7 For All Mankind offers us an abundance of such festive styles and the Skinny in Black Metallic Crinkle from the Holiday’13 line is one that definitely caught my attention.

I always love getting novelty jeans; they are so unique, so different and add something absolutely new to my wardrobe. There is nothing even remotely close to these skinnies in my closet and that is exciting! The Crinkle effect is crazy realistic and looks 3D. It easily tricks the eye – the jeans literally appear like they are made of wrinkled metallic paper and only upon closer look do you realize that it is an illusion. The color combo of black and silver is glamorous and chic and suggests a festive occasion. With that said the casual and quirky nature of the print offsets that making these skinnies much more versatile and suitable for everyday life. It really is up to you how and where you ‘d like to wear them; they will be perfect with heels and a sleek blouse for a night out or paired with wedge sneakers and a chunky sweater for running errands or grabbing coffee with friends.

7 For All Mankind offers a great range of different fits and the Skinny is one of my personal favorites. The slim silhouette is always flattering and makes you look great even when you don’t feel so hot πŸ™‚ The medium front rise will hide any evidence of a big dinner the night before and the higher back rise with strategically placed pockets is forgiving in case you’ve missed the gym for a few weeks (please just don’t make that a habit! :-)). The shorter 30″ inseam with a narrow 10″ leg opening keeps the lines clean and therefore elongates the body. My only concern about this particular style was the print and its 3D nature; I was wondering if it would add any extra volume which clearly is not a good thing. Thankfully they did not and these jeans are flattering as always πŸ™‚

I really like the denim of the Crinkle Skinnies. The relatively light-weight (8.7 oz.) 98%cotton/2% spandex blend is very soft and stretchy – even the metallic coating doesn’t “spoil” the fabric leaving plenty of elasticity and a great “hand”. The jeans feel just wonderful on, very smooth and almost silky.

Lately I’ve dealt A LOT with sizing issues which can be very frustrating so it was really nice to get these skinnies in my usual 24 and they fit just right.

I don’t know about you guys but my Holiday season has officially begun starting with the 7 For All Mankind Skinny in Black Metallic Crinkle! With that said I won’t wait just for parties to wear them; these jeans make every day a special occasion πŸ™‚

I am the EU contributor and product reviewer for Denimology. From the time I was 5 years old browsing through my first fashion magazine I knew I wanted to be in this industry. While working as a Merchandiser at Gloria Jeans, the largest denim manufacturer and retailer in Russia, I discovered my passion for denim. It fascinated me then and years later it fascinates me even more. Every day I learn and discover something new and exciting about denim and am thrilled to do it hand in hand with all of you!
