Stitch & Mechanics jeans

Here is a new brand for you, New York based Stitch & Mechanics. They do have an amazing story:

“Our story begins in 1983 when Ming Lam opened up his first cut & sew factory in the heart of Chinatown, New York. Employing around 2 dozen workers at the time, the factory served as the stitch and mechanics for many legendary American and world-renowned designers such as Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, etc.”

And they are Made In New York:

“In New York City, we incorporate small scale boutique style manufacturing. The best way to describe denim manufacturing here is hands-on engineered garments. We do not use automatic machines hence our jeans are produced achieving approximately 90% generic similarity with 10% variance. We produce each pair of jeans individually unique to the others. Although the untrained eye cannot see these differences, the small variations are the livelihood and taste of each pair of jeans made.”
