Versuchskind Fall/Winter 2014 Lookbook

About the Versuchskind Fall/Winter 2014 Lookbook:

VERSUCHSKIND is a denim brand based in Berlin, Germany, founded by the designer team, Tanja Kim Kupke and Thomas Hintz. The concept is to create a single product by hand, using the best available methods from tailoring and craftsmanship. They combine them with experimentally evolved treatments and finishes. Each garment is handcrafted, cut, sewn, washed and finished in German factories. The combination of tailored cuts, high level craftsmanship, excellent materials and a unique patina, is what makes each piece an individual product.

The brand-logo VERSUCHSKIND (engl. experimental child) is an artwork of the internationally successful sculptor and artist Matthias Hintz. The artwork “VERSUCHSKIND“ consists of several dye- and wax levels. All colors, washes and finishes are directly inspired from the artwork: waxed, crushed, coated, over-dyed, brushed and destroyed, The colors are white, gray, blue, black → in different shades.

Too bad that they are not yet selling here in the US, I am dying to see one of their artwork jeans.
But there is hope: Yours Truly is off to Germany in June and maybe I can check out Versuchskind there. I will then tell all about it.
