Agave Denim Pragmatist Jean in Big Drakes Flex 4-Year Front Full
Hey it’s Justin! I’m back with another denim review and this time I’m reviewing Agave Denim. The denim style I’m reviewing is the Pragmatist in Big Drakes Flex 4-Year . This style I’m reviewing today is a classic straight leg.

What I really loved about this jean was the added flex. It’s a slim style, but the added flex made this style incredibly comfortable to wear. I’ve tried a lot of straight leg jeans and they are either too slim that they resemble a skinny jean, or they’re too straight that the overall look is baggy. I liked how roomy this pair felt, yet it still had a refined look. It didn’t give off a baggy look at all. This jean is comprised of 11oz Italian soft hand denim – 92% cotton, 6% poly, 2% Elastane. It has whiskering around the front pockets, and is hand sanded & stonewashed for a medium indigo fade. I really loved the fading down the legs.

The jean has a 10” rise, 18” at the knee, 16.5” leg opening & 35” inseam. I usually go for the 34” inseam when purchasing jeans but prefer this inseam a lot more. I’m 6’4 and I thought this length was perfect. The ankles of this jean have a little flex in them too, which helps wrap around your shoes.

I’m wearing a size 34 waist, which is my usual size in denim. I did notice that the waist was a tad big, and not as snug. I usually wear a belt whenever I wear jeans, so this loose waistband wouldn’t bother me. I also prefer to have a looser fit around the waist, as opposed to a tighter fit. I don’t like when my denim feels too tight in the waist or crotch area. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. I feel a size 33 would’ve been too tight for me, and uncomfortable. That’s just my personal preference though.

The wash is a medium indigo fade and it’s named “Big Drakes Flex 4 year”. Props to “Big Drake” whoever he is, because he designed a pretty rad wash. I like the medium indigo wash more than a light-blue wash. I always feel a medium to darker wash looks more put together and expensive than a lighter washed jean.

Agave Denim is made in America and hand crafted in California. I always prefer American made products. An added bonus is that they were hand-crafted in California, where I was born (San Diego to be exact).

If you’re looking for a classic straight leg jean, or you are tired of wearing the baggy boot-cut jeans, then you definitely need to branch out and try this Agave Denim Pragmatist in Big Drakes Flex 4 Year.  This jean is comfortable and looks great!
