Hi all, it’s Lana here, with another MIA & MOSS review! I’ve reviewed a lot of skinny jeans for Denimology…because they never get old, especially with the warmer summer months upon us! Of course, as we all know, skinny jeans work very well in the fall and winter months too, tucked into some tall boots or worn with a long sweater or tunic. One of the washes that I really like a lot for that time of the year when it comes to skinny jeans is an all-out flat rinse wash, with no fading or whiskering. My guess is because we are already wearing a lot along with them in order to stay warm, so the sleeker look that a dark rinse wash gives helps balance the bulk! However, a nice dark wash works any time you want to go out and hit the town for dinner or drinks, so I wear them all year ’round. So with that said, here is a MIA & MOSS Sabine Skinny in Indigo review!

MIA & MOSS is a fairly new denim brand that I was unfamiliar with until I was asked to do some reviews for them! The company resides in denim-savvy Los Angeles, California, and prides itself in its unique fabric blends that give each of its denim masterpieces the feeling of cashmere. Each piece is also cut to offer streamlined fit, all the way down to the subtle details. MIA & MOSS constructs “jeans are a shock to the senses in the best possible way.” The brand actually sent me four of their jeans for review: the Sabine Skinny in Indigo, the Sabine Skinny in Grey, the Hyde High Rise Skinny in Dark Blue, and the Camden Crop skinny in Medium Blue. I was sent size 27 across the board, and even though I am usually a 26, they fit pretty well! I could have still worn a 26 too, so, if you would like to try out this brand, size up if you like an easier (yet still streamlined) fit, or take your usual size for a more snug fit. None of them have stretched out, either!

The MIA & MOSS Sabine Skinny in Indigo is a nice mid-rise skinny with a pretty, nice and smooth dark blue wash (almost black). When I first slid them on, I was highly impressed with the fit! They hugged me in all the right places. They are equipped with a contour waistband to fit the form of your body with a nice 8.25″ rise. Like all good summer skinny jeans, they are more like an ankle skinny with a 29″ inseam to keep those feet cool. The fabric content is stretchy, but not too stretchy, and isn’t too thin either and feels rather durable, at 50% cotton, 31% rayon, 17% polyester and 2% spandex…but it’s thin enough to keep you from sweating your butt off when it’s hot out. I’ve worn these for several days in a row and as mentioned above, they have not stretched out a bit, although they have softened up a little! The only thing is I think they might fit more slender bodies just a tad better—as I already stated they do fit my more athletic curvy shape very well but during the day I had to pull them up a few times. My hips are definitely curvier than my waist so I often need a tighter waistband. However, I am thinking it might also be because rinse washes are often a bit more smooth with less friction inside to keep them up! Don’t forget that MIA & MOSS prides itself on its cashmere-like feel! I still wear these a lot, as they are super, super comfortable!

As with all MIA & MOSS jeans, the Sabine Skinny in Indigo has neutral detailing, except for the usual leather patch with the logo on the back of the waistband on the right, so these jeans are easy to style. We all know that darker clothing items are always great closet staples as they will go with anything! If you are looking for a cute, comfortable, long-lasting dark skinny jean that will keep you feeling cool in the summer and sleek in the winter, the MIA & MOSS Sabine Skinny in Indigo! With a premium quality at a slightly less-than premium price, you’ve got a gem right here.
