Earlier this week, I shared my review of the Denimocracy Anarchy knit skinny in Onyx and why I think it’s the perfect pair for my fall uniform. Today I’m excited to share another one of my “uniform” looks, this time with a review for the Denimocracy Mason High Rise Skinny in Indigo. I like the Anarchy for a more edgy look with boots and a leather jacket, but sometimes I want something a little more feminine and a bit preppy to remind me of my east-coast roots. Last week I found myself in Boston and was so excited to see the leaves changing colors, loads of apple orchards and farm stands, and of course, my favorite: Halloween Oreos. When I’m back on the east coast, my style tends to take on a bit of a prettier look, swapping my moto-boots for ballet flats and my leather jacket for an oversized sweater.
For today’s look inspired by my East Coast fall favorites, I’m wearing the Mason High Rise skinny with a cream fisherman’s knit sweater, plaid scarf, and leather flats. With skinny gold jewelry and classic aviators, this is my feminine take on fall uniform dressing. The scarf is extra large and resembles one of the season’s must-have blanket coats. And the Mason fit from Denimocracy is a more feminine and sexy fit, with a slim silhouette and a higher rise than the Anarchy.
Like the Anarchy, the Mason is designed to look like a jean with 5-pockets and traditional grommet details but is actually made of super comfortable and stretchy knit fabric. Looks like a jean, feels like a legging – what more could you want? These are the perfect travel jeans – you look pulled together but they are so incredibly comfortable. They stretch with you, but don’t stretch out (they all say it, but it’s rarely true), plus they don’t dig into you after hours on a plane. And extra bonus- with the higher rise, (10.5″!) you can grab your bags, curl up in a ball to sleep, and run around like mad without risking any indecent exposure.
For travel buffs, these are definitely my new go-to plane jeans. But if you’re just looking for a cozy, super slim alternative to a legging, where you look pulled together and extra slim (thanks, high rise) the Mason is a great way to go. And just like the Anarchy, these are priced beautifully at $99 and are made in Downtown LA.
