FIGI Jeans is a luxury women’s denim brand, inspired by the contemporary art movement. The looks shown here are from the end of winter/spring 2015 season. The breezy denim top pairs beautifully with the bold and colorful bottoms.
FIGI Jeans is a unique brand of art inspired denim that recently launched in March 2014. It’s all in the details at FIGI Jeans. “I was really inspired by the Editor’s Letter in the April 2014 issue of W magazine. The idea of collage and fashion, art and pop culture, really struck a chord with the design aesthetic I envisioned for FIGI Jeans,” says Diane Carleton, FIGI Jeans’ designer and creative director. Diane believes that new ideas come from simply re-imagining the old ones.
Each line is inspired by the work of a different artist. The latest line incorporates the work of John Rossi. FIGI Jeans currently carries jeans in 3 different washes and 4 different prints. The line also includes 8 different style T-Shirts, a long sleeve denim shirt, a denim vest, and a printed denim jacket. By the use of laser printing, they are able to showcase the best processing, true colors and details. The bold and familiar colors from John Rossi’s work are what make FIGI Jeans unique and able to stand out from the rest in a crowd.
FIGI Jeans specializes in two unique fits for bottoms. Although at FIGI Jeans the aim is to showcase an artist’s work, making a great fitting jean is paramount. This starts with the selection of quality denim to match one of the two different fits. The first is the Muse fit, which is known to be a low rise waist with a skinny fit along the legs. The fit is snug from the hips all the way down to the ankles. The second is the Artist fit. This low rise hip comes with a girlfriend fit. The pants are relaxed in the hips, followed by a slimmer straight leg.
“FIGI Jeans is taking something old, in our loved jeans, and creating
something refreshed in expressive art pieces to be worn lovingly,”
