Parker Smith Girlfriend relaxed crop

Hello again. Here comes the second installment of my three-part review for Parker Smith. This time I will give my review of the Parker Smith Girlfriend Relaxed Crop in Jaded Blue jeans. Let’s get right into them – I’ve been struggling with the right adjectives to describe the comfort of these jeans. I think the best thing I can say is that instead of immediately shedding these jeans in exchange for my favorite yoga pants or sweats the second I walk into the door, I continue to wear these jeans until I go to bed. You don’t know me, so you may not appreciate how monumental of a statement this is. But rest-assured, this is big-time. Now, I hate to describe jeans as “comfortable”, because somewhere in our warped sense of fashion and style, we have all decided that comfort ≠ fashion. I reject this notion, and believe, nay demand, that we can have both (except when talking about pumps, let’s be real ladies, even our “comfortable” heels bring excruciating pain after the 6th hour of consecutive wear).

Parker Smith is onto something here. They have managed to design a pair of jeans that don’t stretch out at the knees after a few hours, but are still super soft. Normally you can’t have both. The waist is mid-rise which, I won’t lie, will cause some alarm at first because we have all become so used to wearing our pants slung low on our hips. I don’t have hips for days (sadly), but I do have some bass (thank you Meghan Trainor), so low-rise jeans always give me the dreaded “gap” above my derrière – again – not cute. These jeans will not do that, I promise.

These are your everyday jeans. If you’re fortunate enough to have a profession wear casual wear is the norm (I’m a scientist, so I live in denim), then these are a must have. They are cropped jeans, but since I’m only 5’4’’, they look a bit strange if I don’t roll them. Don’t be put off by this, however. I fully intend on rocking these jeans well into the Swedish winter. My boots are high enough to conceal the fact that they are rolled, and since I change into flats once indoors, these jeans will continue to be perfect year-round. They are too casual to “dress up”, in my opinion, but who cares?! That’s why we all have our Parker Smith Laura Ankle Skinny jeans. J These are perfect with a pair of converse or trainers – throw on your favorite v-neck tee, and voila – you’re good to go.

I have worn these jeans more times than I care to admit – but for the sake of the review, I will be honest. I wore them 4 out of the 5 days last week. Don’t judge – I have a very stressful job where I work 12h days and my brain is so tired that I’m lucky I remember how to get home at the end of the day. So in the morning, comfort and ease are my first priority – so these bad boys came in handy. Even with how soft and comfortable they are, they didn’t lose their shape. I don’t know how Parker Smith accomplished this sorcery, but I am so thankful they did – and you will be too when you purchase your pair here.
