STRÖM Tre Skinny Jeans in Milk Review

I must say that I have been enjoying working on these STRÖM reviews very much as it is a true pleasure to wear their jeans. I loved both pieces that I previously wrote about and the third one, the Tre Skinny Jeans in Milk, is no exception. In fact they may actually be my favorite of the bunch.

If you ask me why it would be hard for me to answer in only a few words – there are just too many great things I adore about these skinnies. First of all, they are selvage which is certainly superb! As with many other passionate jean fans, I couldn’t resist falling into the “selvage” vibe that embodies the true, authentic spirit of denim while still being undeniably hip and trendy. Also, this fabric is soft and stretchy which allows me to enjoy being a “denim head” vs. suffering in a stiff and rigid denim which is definitely not for me J Yes, the Tre is made of a lighter-weight selvage with the content of 93% cotton, 6% polyester and 1% spandex; such combination keeps you comfortable as well as keeps your jeans looking great by preventing them from losing their shape.

I can’t wait for the weather to finally get “warm and sunny” so I can wear these skinnies  so much more –  Milk is such a fab wash for Spring and Summer! I really like its clear blue shade faded and aged with delicate handsanding and whiskering. The bleach “stains” a-la spills in the bottom part of the leg add an unexpected edgy touch distinctly differentiating this wash. The sand colored stitching with matching waist label in soft leather and STRÖM’s signature silver hardware work so perfectly on this jean taking its minimalistic design to a new level.

Besides looking great in the closet these skinnies look great on you too and let’s be honest – this is the most important thing. Just like almost a year ago when I tried the Tre for the first time I am absolutely convinced that it is an excellent fit. With its slim from the very top leg and forgiving medium rise these jeans are flattering and comfortable. The 31” inseam and fairly narrow but not too narrow 10.5” leg opening combo is ideal for wearing these skinnies cuffed or rolled to expose their white selvage ticker on the side seam. Oh, it looks so good on this light blue Milk wash, doesn’t it?!

I probably already mentioned that all four pieces that STRÖM sent me were in my regular size 24 and all of them fit just right. Seems to me this brand has pretty dead-on, consistent sizing.

The STRÖM Tre Skinny Jeans in Milk are definitely the ones to try whether you are a fan of selvage and already have a ton or are new to it and would like to get your first pair!

I am the EU contributor and product reviewer for Denimology. From the time I was 5 years old browsing through my first fashion magazine I knew I wanted to be in this industry. While working as a Merchandiser at Gloria Jeans, the largest denim manufacturer and retailer in Russia, I discovered my passion for denim. It fascinated me then and years later it fascinates me even more. Every day I learn and discover something new and exciting about denim and am thrilled to do it hand in hand with all of you!

  1. Hi do you have any photos of skinny jeans with zipper at the ankle. I know Danni Minogue had a pair in her clothing line. I just loved wearing them in the 80’s Thanks.
