Taking technical cues from military uniforms, Closed has been perfecting the partnership between denim form and function since 1978. Designed in Paris and crafted in Italy, their meticulously tailored jeans are finished with of-the-moment details and Eco-friendly washes.
This is a pair of CLOSED jeans that features practically everything I love in a pair of jeans:
slim fit without being too skinny – check
rigid denim with very little stretch, therefore an authentic “denim feel” – check
destruction and super cool fading (the lower part of the leg is “authentically” less faded that the upper part of the jeans) – check
patched up rips (I am kinda so over totally shredded jeans!) – check
And all the little details in the finishing, like check out those perfectly located rips at the rolled up hem, and also at the back, below the butts.
All this said, there is nothing else I could wish for in a pair of jeans. And just FYI: Closed were the very first pair of “fashion” jeans I ever wore, besides the inevitable Levi’s and Wrangler’s. Actually, these jeans were exactly where it all began – my passion and dedication to denim. And you know what, my first pair of Closed jeans were exactly the style shown here, albeit in a more relaxed style, but the same waist model with the trademark label, and the very typical Closed front pockets.
The Closed Worker jeans are available at Anthropologie.
