Blank NYC Skinny Classique Jeans Review

Hey there! Roxana here, glad to be back and ready to review another pair. This time, its a pair of insanely awesome ripped and repaired denim jeans by none other than our beloved Blank NYC. Leave it to this Manhattan based brand to give you that effortless, edgy, cool girl style that we all aim to achieve. Since 2007 Blank NYC has consistently been delivering the best trends, washes and styles in the market, and all for a mighty fair price too (and for that my lint filled pockets thanks em’)! Flares, skinnies, crops, and shorts, Blank NYC has a plethora of styles to pick from, and each one guaranteed to make you feel like a total badass.

So what better way than to celebrate attitude and edge than with this seasons must have trend, distressed denim. Im sure we have all seen a version or another of  heavily worked, frayed, and beautifully battered denim.  Whether its small tears at the knees  or some heavy duty patching and fraying, there is a pair out there for every rebellious soul. Celebs, models and bloggers have all been spotted wearing this trend, and my gut feeling tells me that we will continue to see these until the threads fall off, literally! So readers prepare your closets, because Blank NYC’s Skinny Classique Barefoot-and-Busted jeans are a must have for this spring/summer season.

The pair I tried on was their signature fit; The Skinny Classique, Barefoot-and-Busted style in a size 26. Its a skinny, its a straight, its a slim fit boyfriend…Its everything you want and need it to be.  The Skinny Classique is Blank NYC‘s most popular fit and I can definitely see why.   My petite body  frame had a little room at the waist in this particular wash, so  I belted them, but you could probably do without and pull them a little lower at the hips for a more slouchy look “a’ la Gwen Stefani”.  Keep in mind however, that these are not your average skinny jeans, and they wont fit like a pair of Blank NYC‘s “Spray-on” super skinnies. So if you want to go for a tighter fit consider trying on a size smaller (really not necessary though). I, on the other hand, will be sticking to my  usual size 26 since I really appreciated the relaxed and comfortable fit this jean provided. In regards to the length; the 30″ inseam would normally be a bit too long for my height (always a reoccurring issue with me, im 5 2) but in this case, the length was perfect; I was able to stylize and cuff to my liking. (And by-golly have I been in a cuffing mood lately, so feel free to cuff away because these look even cooler when you do)! With a 10″ leg opening, it stayed true to its “skinny leg” name and there was no problem slipping in and out of these bad boys. The front rise sits at 7½” which in my opinion would be considered low waisted,  but since I do have a shorter torso, it sat a little higher on me (really wasn’t an issue). Regarding the wash and Fabric: I think it be best to let the denim speak for itself here, simply because its way too cool  to put into words. Its a medium to dark wash with  rips and repairing, zig zag stitching, more rips and repairing, darker shades of denim patches, heavy grinding…*taking a deep breath*  there is  a whole lot of  party on the front… and I mean that in the most flattering way possible. Since wearing these jeans I’ve received so many compliments, and I seriously cannot get enough of them. These Blank NYC Skinny Classique jeans are true statement makers, and they can do no wrong by me.
