Raspberry & Rouge in CLOSED

Pedal pushers hold a special spot in denim history…apart from being a classic style, they just happened to be the first style that European denim brand CLOSED created upon its inception. The style has made its rounds and shares its roots with the modern day “mom jean” that we’ve been seeing around a lot lately. It’s actually been pretty neat watching all of these older, vintage styles coming back on the market! Instagram recently brought us Rebecca Laurey of Raspberry & Rouge in CLOSED, completely pulling off a super chic ’80s look with one of the brand’s many pedal pusher styles. We recently posted about this style from the brand…read the entire thing here! Pairing these babies with a totally cool multicolor patchwork jacket and some round Lennon style sunglasses gives this blogger some serious edge. Rebecca seems to have cut off the end of her pedals to achieve the current raw hem look, although it is difficult to tell if this is an older version from CLOSED! See her Instagram post here.

The two pedal pushers that seem to best match what Rebecca is wearing are here and here, but check out the multitude of different washes from CLOSED on their website here!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
