Sarah Jessica Parker just signed as the new face of the American denim brand Jordache!
The 50-year-old “Sex and the City” actress will appear in ads shot by Michael Thompson for The Jordache Look. The Jordache women’s collection will be sold at Wal-Mart, starting July.
“An iconic celebrity with an iconic brand,” Jordache president, Liz Berlinger, described SJP to WWD. “She’s a real person and she’s approachable.”
SJP added that the brand “has a rich history and I’ve been a fan of Jordache for many years.”
Previous Jordache spokesmodels include Heidi Klum and Elizabeth Hurley. The brand is known for its designer jeans that were popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including the high-rise, straight-leg silhouettes.
The new collection also includes one-of-a-kind handmade jeans remodeled from vintage styles, which will retail from $300 to $500.
The Jordache Collection is being sold exclusively in Wal-Mart stores, while the Jordache Look range will launch online on walmart.com in July
