Ava Carstens in CLOSED Power Stretch Denim - Herbary Cafe

With the emergence and domination of the athleisure trend as well as scary reports about the dangers of wearing skinny jeans lately (honestly..just don’t wear jeans that are too small) lately, it’s no wonder that so many denim brands are coming out with supersoft, uber comfortable stretchy styles to compete with all the leggings out there. This isn’t really anything too new, per se, but as time goes on, premium denim brands are amping up their game with new stretch denim technologies and fabric blends. CLOSED has now released their own line to join the party. We spotted fashion director/consultant/blogger/yogi Ava Carstens in CLOSED Power Stretch Denim as she demonstrates yoga poses around some of her favorite places in St. Pauli, in Hamburg Germany. It appears she is wearing the Lizzy Blue Power Stretch Denim skinny which is a medium blue jean made up of 92% Cotton, 6% Elastomultiester and 2% Elastane to allow up to 75% elasticity! It’s quite apparent from her photos that the activewear industry is gaining some major competition (well, in terms of the athleisure sense, at least)!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
