Gabriella Wilde, the “Endless” Love actress, was shot by Glen Luchford, with art direction by Peter Miles, in a concept that revolves around bringing aspects of New York into a studio setting.
Destruction isn’t something that usually comes to mind when you think of fashion, but in Rag & Bone’s Fall 2015 campaign video, it is a central theme. British actress Gabriella Wilde stars in the short film, directed by renowned lens-man Glen Luchford, during which a graffitied cement divider is dropped onto a rare vintage Porsche, shattering it to pieces. Gabriella walks away from the wreckage looking like a badass anti-heroine, hardly phased by the action-film-worthy scene happening behind her.
“The concept revolved around bringing the city into studio,” Rag & Bone designer Marcus Wainwright told Style.com. “We wanted to capture some of that intense New York energy where anything can happen.” When he said anything, he clearly meant it.
The accompanying images follow the same theme, and feature Gabriella in the brand’s luxe-meets-downtown cool fall collection, sitting atop the wreckage. The slightly wet hair and smudged makeup, by Duffy and Gucci Westman respectively, adds to the grungy, city feel of the set — a perfect juxtaposition to the clothing’s luxe fabrics and sleek silhouettes.
