When the flare jean reemerged on the scene with a bang this past Spring, I’m not sure if anyone was expecting it to grow and thrive as well as it has! Numerous brands have taken the style and created their own unique versions of it, as is normal…but I’ve been so fascinated to see what each big (or small) name has done with it. If you haven’t yet caught wind of all the love we’ve been pouring for the impressively fast growing brand SCHOEN by YU this year and their gorgeous core collection, you’ve got to see their take on the popular, classic ’70s trend! Bloggers are quickly catching wind of it too! We spotted Emma Sousa of A Vintage Vice in SCHOEN by YU, wearing their beautiful The Bombshell flare in Pure Indigo. This is actually the second flare the brand has whipped out, with the other (and just as cool) styles in their core collection remaining as they are…just to give you an idea how fast this fit is flying off the shelves! Many flares this year feature a high rise, but The Bombshell keeps it mid rise to please those on both the high and low sides, and the long length is perfect to fit over heels to give you the slimming illusion of extra height. The luxurious fabric blend of modal and lyrca will hug your shape, forming to it after several wears, for a flattering and comfortable fit. Emma keeps the vintage ’70s look alive with a white fringe jacket as she strolls the streets during New York Fashion Week.

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
