Emily Ratajkowski in Joe's Flares

When the ’70s classic bellbottom (or flare) style re-emerged this last spring, it was endlessly fun (and still is!) to see all the different denim brands’ interpretations of it. Some went for a giant flare, some went for a modest one, and some stayed true to the vintage appeal of this long-loved look. We spotted music video-turned-movie queen Emily Ratajkowski in Joe’s flares, showing us a perfect day to night look in the Charlie Flare. Joe’s is very well known for their beautiful vintage styles, and they hit the nail on the spot with this one, with a high rise cut, elongated front hatch pockets, contrast gold threading and a slim fit through the hips and thighs. The flare is modest, but so ultra flattering! Emily, who starred in Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines music video and Zac Efron’s DJ flick “We Are Your Friends”, pairs hers with a cute polka dot blouse and burgundy cardigan for a great day look, and takes her neutral heels along with her for a nighttime look along with a cropped white sleeveless blouse. I know there are many out there who still aren’t sure about trying out the whole flare thing, but these look so flattering and fun and I’m sure they’d look awesome on anyone!

Emily looks to be wearing the Charlie Flare in either the Angelique wash (get it here), or the Vaile wash (get it here), which are both pretty similar. Shop all of Joe’s Charlie Flare styles here!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
