Bringing custom made premium jeans to the Kickstarter community
Jean & Tonic is the first premium denim brand that allows customers to be an essential part of the design process of their jeans.
Jean & Tonic offers customers a unique shopping experience, where fashion and technology play a leading role in a fun and interactive online denim bar. In just 5 simple steps, customers can design their jeans by selecting the tailored details that suits them the most. Anywhere from the fit, to the denim’s color, to the distressed features of the fabric, to the finishing details such as choosing the buttons and rivets, as well as choosing the leather patch, Jean & Tonic empowers consumers to become their own denim designers.
“Unlike major denim brands that use a push strategy to sell their products, Jean & Tonic uses a pull strategy, in which the customer tells us what they want, and we simply deliver” says Isabella, founder of Jean & Tonic. By giving customers the tools to design their jeans, Jean & Tonic engages consumers in a revolutionary e-tailoring platform.
Now Jean & Tonic is bringing the concept of e-tailoring to the Kickstarter community. A community filled with early adopters, fashion and tech gurus, Kickstarter is just the right place to introduce the hard launch or grand opening of the ultimate denim experience. The campaign’s objective is to raise $15,000 in 45 days, while exposing the brand to a targeted audience. After 24 hours, Jean & Tonic successfully raised 30% of its funding goal.
These are some of the rewards available through Kickstarter:
Jean & Tonic works with one of the best denim manufacturers in Colombia. During production season, Jean & Tonic’s founder travels to Cali to ensure their small batch of premium denim is properly crafted. Its fair labor practices, appropriate working conditions, and impeccable quality go hand in hand with the company’s core values.
Giving back to the community who has ensured Jean & Tonic’s impeccable quality, has been one of their main priorities. Therefore, a buy 1 give 1 program has been implemented: For every pair of jeans purchased, Jean & Tonic donates a school kit to a child in need: one pencil case made out of denim with 4 colored pencils, 2 writing pencils, a rubber, and a sharpener. Working along side Save The Children’s chapter in Colombia, they’re donating the denim pencil cases to a school located in Tumaco, a region infested by armed conflict. Their mission is to keep children in school and away from armed groups’ child recruiters.
Be part of the denim revolution. Help promote Jean & Tonic’s vision, allow them to test out their dream, and help encourage an entrepreneurial culture in Colombia and the world. Be sure to follow them on Twitter (@jeanandtonic_). To follow the campaign’s progress, visit: http://kck.st/1EMvGk5.
