Michael Cook in PRPS Drip Paint Jeans

The creativity within the denim market is endless…which is one of the reasons why I never tire of premium denim! Once I think I’ve seen it all, I am always reminded that I have not. The DIY market has also exploded, thanks in part to Pinterest, and many denim fans are taking their creative license to denim. I’ve done it once, and I can attest it is fun! We ran across Out.com market editor Michael Cook in PRPS Drip Paint Jeans, which basically are a pair from PRPS that he had a bit of fun with. Michael says:

“Not sure if it’s the heat stroke or not, but recently I’ve been feeling artsy and decided it was time to break out the paints. Courtesy of PRPS, a NY-based denim brand that uses premium Japanese indigo selvage, I was invited to let the paint fly and customize my own pair of worn-in jeans. The result was even better than I expected, and the best thing about paint stains is that now when I spill pizza sauce on it, no one will notice.”

Really, PRPS is already a super edgy brand that never seems to run out of ideas…but Michael took it a step further and incorporated his own take of another popular look with paint! How cool are these?

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
