This is hilarious! According do a survey made by the SUN on Sunday, British women hang on to their clothes longer than they keep their men.
While their average relationship lasts just two years and nine months, a woman’s favorite bit of clothing is a £59 pair of blue jeans which she has had for more than three years, research shows.
Nearly half credit their denim devotion to feeling more confident when they wear jeans. More than a third think they look great or feel cozy in jeans.
Worryingly for married couples, men and women admitted they would rather lose their wedding ring than their favorite bit of their wardrobe.
And 90 per cent confessed they would be devastated if they could no longer wear their cherished items, while ten per cent said they would rather lose their mother-in-law.
Jeans are a staple of many women’s wardrobes and the fact that they flatter us and are also easy to wear makes them an understandable favorite.
When it comes to buying a pair, women in London and the South East fork over the most. Those in the East Midlands spend the least.
However, there isn’t much love for shorts, which rate the least favorite item women have in their wardrobes, having cost, on average, £25 when they were bought two years ago.
The nationwide survey, for color run prevention product Color Catcher, also reveals we keep clothes we don’t wear. We hope they will fit again, or keep them because they remind us of good times.
