The DenimsandJeans tradeshow, Life is a Playground, held on October 7th and 8th in Dhaka, has been an amazing success. VICUNHA, one of the participating brands, tells us about the essence of the show from their point of view. Thomas Dislich, Director VICUNHA for Europe and Asia, commented:
“As the Brazilian ambassador of denim fabric in Bangladesh, VICUNHA wants to establish a very important production platform in the present day denim world. With this successful fourth DenimsandJeans event we have again made a decisive step in this direction. A direct contact with denim producers is essential.
“We had a wide spectrum of visitors from many different segments of the industry, on a global scale, not only European. Some of the names present included Next, C&A, Kmart, M&S and Camaïeu.
“We received a very positive feedback about our Athletic products which strive to bridge the gap between jeans and jogging pants. These articles are extremely comfortable, offering high flexibility through the nearly 100% stretch.
“The fashion show had a strong attendance far exceeding the expected level. There was a lot of excitement all over as we showed new fabrication and wash techniques, recreating and reinventing authenticity with progressive innovation, combining freedom and movement.”
