Lucky Orchid in a BLANKNYC Sweater

Over this last year I’ve fallen completely in love with everything BLANKNYC has to offer…I mean, just sticking within the denim side of things, it seems they are somehow able to always keep a huge collection of perfectly edgy, unique pieces over and over again. Then, I grew weak knees for their jackets…and added plenty of them to my wish list. But they’ve really been kicking it up a notch all across the board, including within their sweater line! We spotted blogger Lucky Orchid in a BLANKNYC sweater, rocking the Turtleneck in I Don’t Wake Up Like This. I don’t know about you, but I alway find it unusually tough to find a nice turtleneck. There are plenty of cowl necks, crewnecks, off-the-shoulder and boatnecks everywhere, but for some reason the comfy turtleneck seems to be a bit tougher to find. Of course, BLANKNYC would step in and fill the niche, as they obviously excel at! Lucky Orchid styles hers with a black mini skirt and white sneakers, for a cool middle ground when it’s not quite that cold out yet or maybe even for a morning stroll. This one is an ultra cozy oversized piece, perfect for winter. I would go for it, if California would actually learn to winter…

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
