Michelle Madsen in Joe's

One of the reasons why Joe’s stands out so much to me is their rich, buttery soft vintage washes. I’m not talking just various lights and darks of the traditional denim blues either…but rather their use of all kinds of shades of blue, greenish, greyish, blackish, you name it. The various fading and whiskering details they use presents a true vintage appeal, and I just can’t get enough. This is Take Aim blogger Michelle Madsen in Joe’s, wearing the Rolled Skinny Crop in Valencia. This jean is a beautiful piece, with a medium blue wash and uneven fading…because who wears jeans in a perfectly even way? I love the detail in the back of the knees and the loose cuff for a laid back California touch. I dig how Michelle styled hers too, keeping it minimal with a black top, super cute black heels and a tan and black bag. Some jeans are made to dress up and some are made to do all the talking, and these work both ways! The shading is just gorgeous, don’t you think?

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
