PRPS Noir is bespoke, 100% hand cut and sewn.It is selvedge. The back tab is black. The label is non-logoed leather, either cracked, animal hide, or woven/braided leather. Smaller details, like the rivets, are generally manufactured manually. The hardware on the fly is clean and usually tonal.
Donwan Harrell, founder and creator of PRPS tells us:
“Everything starts with the fabrication. When it comes to my original PRPS Japanese and Noir line, not only is the fabrication Japanese, which is very expensive. It’s typically around $20 a yard [and] it takes about three yards to make a pair of selvedge Japanese jeans. But the labor is also very expensive. The fabrication is a story on its own that makes it unique.”
You can buy PRPS Noir jeans on their website, or at Yoox.com.
