Kate Ogata in DL1961

DL1961 is one of the few brands that taught me that there is no such thing as too many dark blue skinny jeans, especially after my review of the Florence Instasculpt Skinny in Warner. The brand puts such a great spin on just about any style that might be familiar to the naked eye, adding in superior stretch retention, comfort and durability…as well as some pretty bold, eye popping shades. Here is The Fancy Pants Report blogger Kate Ogata in DL1961, rocking the Margaux Skinny in Busted. This isn’t your typical ripped black jean, as yes, I do know there are a lot out there! These are made from a 4-way stretch and a fit that will leave you screaming for more. I love the single knee rip and light distressing around the pockets! It also features a slightly faded black, to make them look and feel like you’ve been wearing them for ages. Kate dresses hers up in a perfect monotone look with a black leather moto jacket and black and white striped sweater, showing us that distressed denim can definitely be dressed up as well as it can be dressed down!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
