Check out this amazing lady, Chris Ellsberg, an over 80 year old lady, who still is spunky and preppy enough to work at the Raleigh Denim + Workshop as a pattern maker.

Chris is 82 years old and she works at the workshop every morning Monday through Friday. A full fledged part time job – developing and making patterns with Victor Lytvinenko, who is one of the owners and creators at Raleigh.

This video is part of UNC-TV’s series titled “My Home NC”:

” Enjoy a unique look at the food, music, people and culture that make North Carolina our home. Presented by UNC-TV, North Carolina’s statewide public television network.”

Raleigh Denim Workshop is a very dedicated and family owned denim brand based in North Carolina. They specialize in selvedge denim, and also produce women’s selvedge jeans with a tiny bit of stretch for more comfort.

Raleigh just recently did a collaboration of a pair of selvedge jeans with stretch for Kate Spade, and they had sent me a pair to try out. I am totally loving the edginess, the dark, raw wash – it’s so cool to be standing out from the maze of distressed, ripped and bleached skinnies, and best of all: These jeans, in time, will become my personal distressed pair, bespoke by me, myself, with all the fading at the exact right places.

You can buy Raleigh Denim Workshop jeans on their website, and at Nordstrom.
