denim overalls

Style queen Stella McCartney continued to reign supreme, despite the fact she had just stepped off a long-haul flight from Los Angeles, when she was pictured arriving at Heathrow Airport in London on Friday afternoon.

The English fashion designer cut a casually cool figure as she worked a denim one-piece from her own Stella McCartney collection, for the 10-hour plus journey.

She swamped her svelte figure somewhat by slipping on a denim boiler suit, featuring turned-up jeans, zip details and two large trouser pockets.

Stella styled her oversized jumpsuit with a pair of white gum-sole buckle-shoes and a pair of classic sunglasses.

We found similar denim overalls at SSENSE (this one is also a Stella McCartney design!) and at NET-A-PORTER.

  1. Inspiring post. Love the McCartney jump suits. And the MIH at the link.
I always crave the pulled together look of a tucked in shirt but it doesn’t look good in real life on me. I like the floating waist band of a jump suit, so long as it’s not overwhelming.
How does one choose a size online? I wish the charts would match bra size and hip measurement to xs/s/m/l . I have the same problem when admiring the DL1961 No. 7 jumpsuit. I’m size 23/24 in their jeans, tiny bones, but I’m 5’9. What size am I in their jump suit? Will a size small fit in the shoulders and then swallow me whole? Online is not a fun way to shop when so little info is available.
What I like about the DL1951 no 7 is the slouchy pant and narrow ankle. The zips are a bit much especially combined with the raw hems and sleeves. That may be trend overload. I’m on the fence about ordering.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mother gender neutral jumpsuit, which is anything but. Cost prohibitive, but WOW. Possibly the best of the bunch. Original, classic, edgy & understated all at the same time.
Has anyone found a great and affordable jumpsuit?
