Worth Global Style Network (WGSN) organized a panel discussion on denim sourcing, product development and manufacturing & retail outlook at the Kingpins Show in Amsterdam on April 13th, 2016.

S.M. Tanvir, Director, Pacific Jeans and also a Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), first time as a Bangladeshi attended the WGSN discussion as one of its panelists. WGSN Denim Director, DioKurazawa moderated the discussion while Olaf Hussein, Founder/Designer, Olaf Hussein; Tony Tonnaer, Director of Design, Kings of Indigo, Fabio AdamiDalla Val, Head of R&D Wash and Finishing, M&J Group, Ben Rose, Head Buyer Wholesale EU, Levis, and Vichai Phromvanich, Owner, Absolute Denim Fabric Mill, were the other distinguished panel discussants.

The panelists talked about supply chain sourcing, development process of denim as well as their commercial and sales viability.

“Denim is timeless and the demand of denim is ever increasing around the globe. As a manufacturer, we are always reinventing ways to transform the designers’ dream into reality. Fashion is ever-changing, there are always challenges and obstacles to explore and produce a new concept. We are constantly searching for new ways of producing jeans/ denim apparel either by implementing a new process or technology.” says Mr. Tanvir.
