Levi’s® and Google ATAP Group unveiled the newest in wearable technology – Levi’s® Commuter™ x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket.

Coming in the Spring of 2017, it is the first ever smart garment with Jacquard by Google technology woven in. The jacket allows users to stay connected with easy access to directions, information on nearby places, change their music, and answer calls just by touching the sleeve of their jacket.

The Levi’s® Commuter™ x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket is the latest innovation in Levi’s® Commuter™ line, performance-driven products for the urban cyclist and designed to confront the challenges of today’s hyper-digital world. The jacket allows cyclists to control their mobile experience and connect to a variety of services, such as music or maps, directly from the jacket sleeve. With customized connectivity, the jacket provides a seamless cycling experience, and serves as a copilot for your life (on and off your bike) —all without having to remove your phone from your pocket.

The digital connectivity is provided through a smart tag, and apart from this detachable tag, the whole interactive garment is washable and durable like regular denim. Simple inputs like swipes or taps on the jacket can connect to the device’s
functionality to control music and silence calls, where the touch then registers wireless to a phone or tablet.

So these babies are going to be available only next year! Meantime, you can shop here to buy some great Levi’s denim to tide you over until then LOL!
