Paola Alberdi in Level 99

The media sure talked a lot about skinny jeans going out of style…and while I’m not buying it (there are still plenty of beautiful styles flooding the market, and still being touted by top bloggers everywhere), there is some sliver of truth to it: looser fitting jeans have become chic again! Not just boyfriend jeans, culottes, bootcuts or flares, but also relaxed versions of some of our classic favorites. Here’s Blank Itinerary blogger Paola Alberdi in Level 99, wearing the Morgan Slouchy Straight in Breakwater. This is a pretty soft light blue high rise jean, with a straight leg fit that’s just relaxed enough to stay flattering and chic yet comfortable this Summer. It also features extra long and undone hems, cuffed up for a unique appearance! A little character is always good in a classic piece for the brand’s signature to shine through. These are perfect for a day running errands, walking the beach boardwalk, or even lounging around on a lazy Sunday, but Paola dresses hers up with a black moto jacket, nude heels and a seriously covetable handbag. One of the things I love the most about relaxed fits is the fact that they aren’t seen as a dressy style, but they sure are fun to prove the naysayers wrong and dress them up for a night on the town or a nice dinner! Why not? That’s what fashion is all about, right?

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
