Tienlyn Jacobson in a BLANKNYC Skirt

White denim definitely made a big comeback this year, just in time for summer! Even though many still fear wearing this shade, it is just as good of a closet staple as a pair of black skinnies. If a pair of white jeans isn’t your forte, then why not give this cool wash a try in a skirt or shorts? Here is Thoughtful Misfit blogger Tienlyn Jacobson in a BLANKNYC skirt, rocking the Button Front Denim Pencil Skirt in White Brony. This isn’t your ordinary pencil skirt! It comes complete with a cute button front detail (as you can obviously see), and a super soft and stretchy lyocell/cotton/rayon/polyester/spandex fabric blend. This brand is always awesome at taking an existing trend or style and whipping it around into something totally unique. Tienlyn looks flawless wearing hers with a grey button down blouse, which I think adds a cool bit of uniformity to her outfit’s contrasting neutral shades. I’d say contrast is important when wearing white, as it has the ability to pop against a darker shade or make another color stand out itself. The denim skirt has stuck around for a long time and always looks chic, but this one from BLANKNYC has plenty of character and is sure to look amazing dressed up like Tienlyn wears hers, or worn casually on a day out and about!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.
