When you’re jetsetting around the world, hopping from photo shoots to events to date night with your boyfriend, it’s pretty important to leave your current location in style. That’s the lesson we’ve learned from Gigi Hadid, who’s managed to do so time and time again thanks, in part, to one simple hack: personalized shirts and jackets. This summer alone, Gigi has rocked a ton of “Gigi” and “Hadid” printed pieces, and when she was spotted out in NYC, wearing a pair of super skinny Neuw jeans, she did so again — this time in the form of a personalized army jacket.

This jacket turned Gigi’s lazy day ensemble into something special, and made sure all eyes were on her as she arrived at JFK.

So, you are neither a rockstar, nor any kind of celebrity LOL – how you gonna get your personalized jacket, or tee, or jeans?

I have a very easy to do DIY suggestion: if you don’t have a grandma who does embroidery, you can simply paint your name or whatever else you’d like on any jacket or shirt. Just make sure the paint is waterproof!

You can buy some great army jackets for your very own “personalization” at Bloomingdale’s, GAP, and Urban Outfitters.

Neuw jeans are available at matchesfashion.com and Yoox.
