The classic overall…for so long, they were only seen as a nostalgic piece from our wonder years. Did any of us think they’d re-emerge as a popular piece for all ages? A year or two ago, they sure did, and it seems they are here to stay. BLANKNYC is one of my favorite brands, and they are so good at taking a style (whether popular or teetering on the border of cliché and popular), and making it something all new and awesome, over and over again. Here is The Fashionably Broke blogger Natalie Pinto in BLANKNYC shortalls, wearing their version in the Fling Cleaning wash. The brand currently has three shortalls available, one in a light wash, one in black and one in white, and I keep seeing them on bloggers everywhere. Whether you love or loathe this look, it appears it has caught a niche in the market and brands everywhere are eating it right up, with all sorts of variations in washes, levels of distressing, cuts, and even blends with current favorites like bootcuts and flares. Natalie’s is a cute rolled up style with distressing and tones of chic (and cute) factor. The overall seems to be one of those pieces that you can totally make all your own, however you’d like!
The BLANKNYC Shortall in Fling Cleaning is a sold out style, but shop the three alternatives mentioned above as well as an assortment of cute denim rompers at BLANKNYC here!
