Miss Noor De Groot in STRÖM Brand

As obsessed as I am with skinny jeans, I think I’ve finally grown more fond of the looser fitting styles. It only took me a few years, from when they first became more trendy and in demand! Relaxed fits moved beyond your typical boyfriend jean, which sprouted a range of different and more unique cuts for each brand. Here is Queen of Jet Lags blogger Miss Noor De Groot in STRÖM Brand, wearing their Noll Crop in Pavement. This is a perfect example. You could call it a boyfriend jean, but it has more of a relaxed, cropped straight fit…something all STRÖM’s own. Either way, I didn’t see a whole lot of black boyfriend jeans out there until more recently, so it’s awesome to see another type of closet staple emerge to join the classic black skinny! Black skinny jeans look great under tunics or loose fitting tops, and styles like the Noll Crop in Pavement would look great dressed up with a form fitting top, like Noor’s. The more the merrier when it comes to wardrobe choices, you’ll never feel like you have nothing to wear again (or at least not as often)!

The STRÖM Noll in Pavement is unfortunately not available anymore, but the Painter Black is a very similar style, being a boyfriend in a black wash! Shop it here.

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.

  1. Looked at the collection at STROM. LOVE the high rise wide leg cut. (wish it didn’t have the air brushed fading) I would have ordered it to look it in person, but they aren’t selling it. I’m looking for a high rise wide leg jean with nice drape and no air brushing, preferably without the long front pockets. something that would float, hug the natural waist, create no bulk and be fun to wear in hot weather. 🙂 Any ideas?
