Ruby Benson in Hudson

After a long summer season of vintage, ripped up denim and barely-there tops, the Fall brings darker shades, jewel tones, moto jackets and leather. It’s time to keep warm, so most distressed denim might end up near the back of the closet! It’s the season for dark washes, maybe even some vegan leather, or…coated jeans? Why not? Coated denim offers a cool alternative to the heavier weight leatherlike pieces, and keeps the cozy comfort and stretch of jeans. I would say the coating can help add a bit of warmth, too! Here is Ruby Benson in Hudson, wearing the Nico Midrise Skinny in Mystic Amber. This is such a cool piece, and the Nico is one of my favorite fits of all time. It includes a 9″ front rise and a 28″ inseam which makes it easy to tuck into boots or wear in the Springtime with some cute flats. It actually is made from a twill power stretch fabric, with a super soft hand feel, and if you know Hudson you know how great they make your bum look! This is one of those brands that has stood the test of time, and you can always be confident buying any pair of Hudsons, so why not go all out and have some fun and stand out a little this Fall? Ruby looks like she’s getting ready for an epic night out…and that’s definitely how I’d rock these jeans!

I’ve been quite the denim fanatic for several years now, and am happy to apply this passion to something that I can share with others. I am also a graphic designer/web developer and have done design work for two of the biggest designer boutiques in town, which is partly to blame for the 100 plus pairs of jeans I now own in my collection! It always fascinates me how much can be done with the denim fabric alone, and the constant innovations will always keep me hooked.

  1. I like the color. On the web site i see shiny colored skin tight jeans with those tiny high back pockets. I doubt these flatter many people. Im always attracted to Hudson and always disappointed.
