patchwork jeans

Fergie, who is back here in New York City, was spotted wearing a pair of patchwork skinny jeans with a light blue corduroy jacket.

It is the Shearling Corduroy Jacket from Chloe (sold out), featuring a shaggy fur collar, regular white buttons, and a belt on the jacket’s waist. Cool, to be seeing a corduroy jacket again. It’s been quite a while that we have not seen any corduroy on celebrities, even though corduroy is part of a lot of fall and winter collections.

And her denim? Well, they are a pair of skinny patchwork jeans from Black Orchid, the Noah Jeans in Groovy Baby. I am not a big fan of patchwork in general, but these Black Orchid’s are do-able, except that I don’t like the light blue long patch from the knee down. If you don’t have the most perfect legs, this long patch will make your upper thigh look fuller. I prefer details that make legs look slimmer, like side seams, and even patches on less auspicious places. Like the other leg of the jeans has perfectly proportioned patches in just the right places to draw the attention away from too curvy upper legs.

Fergie completed her outfit with a a pair of suede booties from her own footwear line, the Fergie Bianca Boots in Taupe. These booties are super cute, besides the regular inside zipper, they also feature a zipper on the back. These booties are available in black as well.

You can buy patchwork jeans from Topshop, Stella McCartney, and Miss Me.

  1. I miss the vibe she had when the Black Eyed Peas were hot.

She also had it going on in her solo career that was intermixed with the success of the group.

  2. yeah – she kind of turned into a “nice married lady”…. the rocker vibe is gone….

  3. I like these jeans on her. NOT the jacket. I agree, black orchid is a line for showing off a great body. Others will be disappointed. Also the ity bitty high pockets in the back suit women with tiny gravity defying bottoms only.
