As we had told you in our Cotte D’Armes lookbook post, their re-launch collection is based on battles between darks and lights of industrial architectures. Therefore you can see here in their ad campaigns the starkness of those buildings as a contrast to the very feminine clothes with oversized flowers and super sexy lace tops.

The images of the ad campaign tell us the story of the collection, using exactly the juxtaposition.

A very different kind of campaign, I would say – not so much concerned about showing the clothes as a whole, but rather giving us the feel of this collection: stark, feminine, and at the same time rigid and desolate.

We love it! And of course, you will be curious about how the clothes actually look like! Well, then you have to check them out at the Cotte D’Armes website which will go live shortly. Meantime – suspense!

  1. I find this type of campaign pretentious and insulting to my intelligence and sense of design.

Show me the clothes. Don’t explain them to me, except to provide clear pictures from all angles, accurate size charts and clear, accurate descriptions of the fabric content and what directions the fabric stretches in (if any.) I hope they do so when they post their clothes on their site.
