Those of you who saw my Instagram this past week about having a blowout and manicure were probably wondering why I would post about this – VERY OBVIOUS! Because all the professionals at this amazing place are clad in custom made denim shirts. And of course, I had my nails done in denim blue! No, not my hair, though, not yet ready to walk in Bella Thorne’s footsteps HA!
The staff there is amazing, and they made me feel as if I was back in my former hometown, Rio de Janeiro. Some of the staff there are Brazilians, and it was awesome for me to be able to speak Portuguese again. Oh and while you are there, make sure to try some of the very traditional Brazilian cheesebreads which they serve with their coffee!
The newest concept in beauty salon services dedicated to time, efficiency and style: Introducing MB45 at 93 Worth Street in Tribeca, New York, where the signature services deliver chic hair and nails in 45 minutes, without sacrificing quality or style.
Co-founded by Fernanda Lacerda and Manuela Giannini, two native Brazilians who are long-time New Yorkers, combined their business acumen and creative expertise to develop the MB45 studio. Fernanda had opened the Brazilian beauty salon and spa, Maria Bonita, in Soho, in 2003. Manuela brings her innate style and interior design skills to the equation.
“We saw a need for a cool, efficient beauty experience focused on technique, design and customer service,” says Fernanda. With ever busier schedules, there’s a growing need for multi-tasking beauty studios. “This is an urban woman’s beauty bar, inspired by urban street style and the fast pace of New York City.” The design incorporates the feel of a photo studio, featuring wheat paste posters of #howdoIfeeltoday art by model/artist Nathalie Edenburg.
