Pharrell Williams, once more, surprises us in a really unique and fabulous red carpet outfit. I have to say that I am stoked by the originality of Pharrell’s look at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala. He is posing here with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, who is wearing an equally stunning black maxi shift dress.
Pharrell wore a pair of lightly faded medium blue straight leg jeans, cuffed at the ankles, no socks, and a pair of Italian style black leather loafers.
His adhering to the red carpet must-do extravagant look was adding a cropped tuxedo jacket and a fitted white tuxedo shirt, accessorizing with a black quilted leather Chanel belt and one of his trademark hats with a blue and black trim. And adding a bit of cowboy charm, Pharrell sported a bolo charm necklace instead of a comme-il-faut tuxedo bow tie.
This look is absolutely worth copying for your next formal event.
Cropped tuxedo jackets ready made – quite impossible to find, so you need to buy a regular length one, like this Hugo Boss number, and have it cropped by a tailor. Tuxedo shirts are available at Nordstrom, and you can buy straight leg jeans at East Dane.
And, ladies – I have bought a men’s tuxedo jacket many years ago and I always wear it with either black coated jeans, or ripped and torn blue vintage jeans, depending on the occasion. So Pharrell’s outfit here is absolutely a great borrowed-from-the-guys look for you ladies, as well!
